Weekly Blog: October 19th-23rd

I'm really glad that the dealine for the next assignment was delayed to this Friday instead of the 23rd. I've been able to spend a good amount of time this weekend working on my light.

My sketch this week is of a Kobalt, from a board game I'm playing right now with my dad and cousin. It's called Descent, and it is sort of a rip off of Dungeons and Dragons (okay, an overt rip off, but what dungeon crawler isn't.) I think of this monster as sort of a mini-hulk, although in the game they are very weak.

These are renderings of my first light fixture that I attempted for Assignment 6. It looks okay, but I think my next light is a lot better. I'm not turning this in for my assignment, but I thought that it's a good blog entry for my progress in 3ds.

My final entry this week is an inspirational lighting fixture that I found when I was looking online. It is from this site: http://www.ohgizmo.com/2007/09/12/airluce-devastatingly-modern-lighting/
This light reminded me of a jellyfish in that the way the light reflects from the center and lights up all of the legs. I had no idea that there were such interesting lights out there.
