Assignment 1, Part 2

Part two of Assignment one was to create three composite images using at least 4 transformations each. The first one is a city landscape with abstract images in the sky, which is the same theme as the second image. I tried to put things into the actual city, but everything I tried looked cluttered. The last image is basically a battle scene on a lake. I added the clouds, the castle and the cannons to create the image.

Week of August 24-28th

This is an image I found inspirational the moment I looked at it. This abstract kind of painting always catches my eye. The way everything flows and works together, but it still looks abstract. The detail is amazing, and with my own work I would love to be able to incorporate so much visible detail. This is an image by Jeff Soto from this website: http://www.jeffsoto.com/art.html

This is a sketch I've done recently. The basic idea is a cannon shooting fire and a dragon shooting a cannon ball. Just an idea that sprand into my head as I was sketching the cannon. I hope to improve my hand drawing skills as I practice more each week. By improving my sketching skills, I hope to express my ideas as a designer more clearly.

My other inspiration this week is a website I found. They are a polish graphic design team and their stuff just blew me away. http://www.arsthanea.com
That is their website, and they have comercial art and non-comercial art. Their stuff inspired me because their art is so detailed, and you cannot see any flaws in their work. As an aspiring artist, it is cool to see work that they have done comercially. With my career, I would love to be behind the camera and helping to make movies, but it is also nice to see graphic artists getting paid to do what they love. Hopefully, I'll also get paid to do (mostly) what I love.

Assignment 1; Cities, Landscapes, and Objects

Edit: Here is the part one of Assignment 1. I put nine images originally, but these were the best three. The first is a picture of a flower (object). I took it myself using drawing with light techniques. The next is a landscape and the last one is a city image.
